Dr. Susan M. Donahue completes the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program at CCRI

Chiropractic Physician Susan M. Donahue, D.C., owner of Susan M. Donahue, D.C., Ltd.in North Smithfield, Rhode Island and Treasurer of the Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island, was among the third and fourth cohorts of 47 graduates who recently completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at the Community College of Rhode Island.

Susan M. Donahue, DC, Ltd, located at 63 Eddie Dowling Highway in North Smithfield, is a premier health service destination in North Smithfield offering chiropractic and alternative therapies to patients from pediatric to geriatric. 

“The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program was an amazing opportunity to work and learn from other business professionals,” said Dr. Donahue. “Before the program ended we hired another employee using one of the many programs offered through the Department of Labor and Training. There are so many untapped resources available for small businesses here in R.I., this program being one of them.”

The small business leaders who took the class spent 12 weeks - roughly 100 class hours - at the Community College of Rhode Island studying a business and management curriculum designed by Babson College and delivered by faculty based in Rhode Island. The curriculum covered accounting, human resources, negotiation and marketing, among other topics, and business owners developed a five-year growth plan to take their companies to the next level. The program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops and advice from Goldman Sachs professionals.

Applications for 10,000 Small Businesses are accepted on a rolling basis at the Community College of Rhode Island, The program is open to business owners from across Rhode Island. To learn more or to apply, visit www.ccri.edu/10KSB.
